Meet our coaches
Simon Winter
Hi, my name is Simon Winter, I have had 25 years coaching tennis professionally. For the last nine years I have been based at Hawkes Bay Lawn Tennis & Squash Club. Here I have developed an extensive club programme from Hotshots to many of the regions top juniors including Finn Reynolds currently a New Zealand representative and 16s National Champion.
My wife Jenny plays a mean social game of tennis with my twelve year old son Luke on track to beating his Dad on the court one day. In my spare time I play a little golf where my 16 year old son Adam is a Hawkes Bay Golf rep and already beating me.
I am involved with Coach Education with Tennis New Zealand where we train and qualify many Hotshot coaches around the country.
It is with our staff of experienced and qualified coaches that we also service various other schools and clubs for example Napier Boys High, Napier Girls High, Woodford, Hereworth, Napier Central Primary, Port Ahuriri, Westshore, and Eskview Club.
There are many regular adluts who enjoy the programmes at Hawkes Bay Lawn including our very popular Tennis Aerobics.
